Debt Recovery and Money MAnagement Support
Since December 2020, our church has partnered with CAP (Christians Against Poverty) and other local churches and organisations to help individuals and families journey out of debt. Our CAP Debt Centre Manager works part-time each week to support clients to become debt-free, and our team of befrienders offers ongoing support to each client for as long as it is needed.
Our CAP Money Courses are running online, and offer practical tips and advice to anyone wishing to improve their personal or family finances – please email us if you would like to learn more.
We’re grateful both to Gateshead Council for their advice and support, and also to our funders for helping to make it possible to offer these services where they are so greatly needed. In particular, the National Lottery Community Fund, Connected Voice, and Community Foundation Fund, have helped us to launch our Money Matters Project in partnership with CAP and provide funding for our first year.
